FAQs
HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can either e-mail me or telephone to make a suitable appointment. I practice in Hale and Wilmslow in private consulting rooms.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE INITIAL CONSULTATION?
The initial consultation will:-
- Provide an opportunity to meet and decide if we want to work together
- Enable us to discuss your needs and discuss whether I can help you achieve your aims and objectives
- Allow time for collection of necessary information and medical history
- Go through the client's and therapist's expectations and work through the working contract
- Discuss confidentiality and other practical matters
- Begin with some inital work and set some preliminary goals.
HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT LAST?
Appointments usually last for 60 minutes.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Usually weekly at the beginning of therapy. Some clients need only fortnightly appointments. Once the therapy (which is essentially brief and solution focused) is almost complete, then it may be appropriate for clients to be seen for a maintenance consultation every two or six months depending on the client's needs.
Therapy is expected to be brief ie. not last indefinitely or for a prolonged amount of time. The usual number of consultations is 6-12 depending on the clients needs. Some clients may need less, maybe one or two consultations.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A CONSULTATION?
Consultations are £55 per session.
Payment can be made with either cheque or cash at the end of the session. Payment for the final consultation is made at the end of the 2nd session.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will incur a sessional fee.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL, WITHOUT OBLIGATION. I AM HAPPY TO DISCUSS WAYS IN WHICH I CAN HELP YOU.
